1. Tweepi Tool
We use this tool to find people with same interest, people who follow users we love or by using tweet/user search. It also helps us unfollow those who are not following us back (don’t worry, we haven’t used this feature yet and we still follow you :)).
What we love about this tool is it can filter people with follower count, following back ratio which are great factors to decide if you should follow them or not.
2. Make Some Changes to Our Bio
We do make a small change to our bio by adding a call to action. As our main purpose is to attract great writers/marketers to contribute to our site, we put the link to our contributing page on our Twitter bio.
We continue to build relationship with our community by retweeting/commenting on others tweets, integrating proper #hashtags and we do this throughout the day (we use social scheduling tool to do this job, not @buffer but @dlvrit and it works like a charm!)
Results:
From 162 to 273, gain 103 followers (~68%).
